Abstract

The age and sex composition of Epipalaeolithic fallow deer and wild goat from Ksar 'Akil was analysed to reconstruct the exploitation pattern as regards these economically most important species. Kebaran hunters from Ksar 'Akil evidently practised with respect to both fallow deer and wild goat some selective exploitation of fully grown specimens, and more or less random cropping of does and bucks.
