The article presents the author's views on the contribution of women researchers in the Netherlands, with special reference to the comparison of the research work contributed by women authors to the journal in the period 1984-1992 with the period 1993-1998. According to the author, who has served on the editorial board of the journal, a lot of areas within the scientific world do not optimally exploit the potential of women.
