The article focuses on studies related to cohorts or social groups, using Leeftijd-Periode-Cohort (LPC) scheme. The life course of each cohort pass through always changing historical circumstances, which is an important vehicle of social change. Main point of LPC-analyses are the cohort tables. In the analysis of a cohort table three independent variables including birth date, period or time of perception, age as the time between the birth date and the period of perception, play a role. The term cohort refers to the composition characteristics of a cohort including size, man/woman proportion, training etcetera. Cohorts experience certain events at a certain stage of their life course and these events make permanent influence on one or the other cohort.
