The article presents a comparison between the two countries, namely the Netherlands and Belgium with special reference to their social policy and social politics. The dominance of confessionnal social movements and political parties in both the countries give the impression that similarities exist between the two countries. But, there are also certain dissimilarities between the two countries. Whereas the Netherlands is frightened of social policy, Belgium does much to social policy because it has little message to social policy. The Netherlands can attain success by adopting more social politics and less social policy, whereas Belgium can attain success by adopting more social policy and less social politics, says the author.
