The article presents information about the demographic behavior in the Netherlands. Research conducted by the European Value Systems Study Group (EVSSG) revealed that whereas in surrounding lands, traditional conceptions regarding marriage and family are dominant, exceptions prevail in the Netherlands. The research revealed that as compared to the surrounding lands, the Netherlands has become one of the most permissive lands of the west. In the Netherlands, everyone is free to think and act as he or she wishes on areas including marriage, family, and sexuality, as long as they do not harm others in the society. In the country, one can also discover the average highest age of women having their first child.
