Veranderingen in de schoolloopbanen tussen 1965 en 1977: ontwikkelingen in de Nederlandse samenleving en in haar onderwijs

Samenvatting

Many sociological studies have been performed on the relationship between Dutch children's SS & their ultimate success in the school system, including the selection process by which some children are encouraged to participate in Coll preparatory or vocational programs. To measure the progress made in advancing equal educational opportunity, results are compared from a 1965 questionnaire survey (N = 11,170 CBS [vocational program] students & 37,065 SMVO [Coll preparatory] students) & a 1977 questionnaire survey (N = 1,948 CBS students & 3,212 SMVO students). Correlation of data on parental occupation, income level, degree of urbanization, family size, & student achievement level shows that some success has been met in helping disadvantaged students advance to the higher level school systems. 5 Tables, 1 Figure, 45 References.
