Samenvatting

This article discusses various issues related to the history of youth movements. The article makes specific reference to the representation of the event in various publications, and to researches conducted on the subject by several social scientists. The term "youth movement" gained rapid acceptance after 1910 from Germany. The Dutch historiography of the youth movement events got importance after the year of 1920. Social scientists explored the nature of Dutch Christian youth works divided under two segments including Catholics and Baptists.
