Effects of social status on educational attainment are usually examined among isolated individuals. A new approach is proposed, focusing on sibling research in assessing the importance of family factors on achievement. Analysis of Dutch longitudinal data from R. J. Bosker's, W. H. A. Hofman's, & R.
