Samenvatting
Foutieve titel bovenaan artikel: Beroep en vrije-tijdsbestijding. The res took place in 1960/1961 re the relations between the nature of occup'al work & the nature of leisure time activities. Interviews were held on the basis of a!? with employees of a Dutch graphics Co (process-engravers & photolithographers) (N= 40). The gauge bore a qualitative character. Among other things, a statement of time budgets was asked & a list of leisure activities was used. A distinction was made between objective & subjective relations, classified in 5 groups varying from decidedly positive (similar activities in spare time & occup) to decidedly negative (compensation &/or escape in spare time). The decidedly positive relations might be seen as canalizations of a certain aptitude of the individual both in spare time & occup. The nature of the individual's educ seems to be related. Decidedly positive relations were found mostly among young people (under 30); decidedly negative relations mostly with the group between 30 & 50 yrs old. With older people (over 50) the relations were less pronounced & the leisure activities were of a more conformistic nature. In case of further investigation it is recommended that a distinction be made between the factors concerning occup & position, in future res. AA.
