Samenvatting

In connection with the results published by A. C. Kinsey (with W. B. Pomeroy, C. E. Martin, & P. H. Gebhard, SEXUAL BEHAVIOR IN THE HUMAN FEMALE, Philadelphia, 1953), the following factors were selected: (1) age, (2) length of marriage, (3) sexual permissiveness, (4) education, (5) wealth, (6) size of residence, (7) premarital intercourse, (8) sexual instruction, & (9) religiousness. Data given by 635 F's, married or once married, were analyzed. 62% of these women felt they were sexually satisfied, 22% were not completely or not at all, & the rest did not answer. Concerning frequency, 45% felt that having intercourse twice or more per week was adequate, 37% thought less than twice a week was infrequent. Sexual satisfaction was correlated with a young marriage, frequent intercourse, & youth. Wealth, size of residence, premarital sex, & sex education were not related to sexual satisfaction & frequency of intercourse. 1 Table. D. Ridgway.
