Samenvatting

Testing the relationship between satisfaction & political participation points to the importance of not considering satisfaction alone, but rather examining it in connection with other relevant variables, particularly political efficacy. Voting & party activity were analyzed from a stratified random sampling, interviewing 1,747 persons. Satisfaction & efficacy have been shown to be positively related to participation, however concerning the level of participation, satisfaction was shown to be important in determining the manner of participation. Certain methodological distinctions need to be made for further measurement. 2 Tables, 1 Figure. D. McGuire.
