magnitude-estimation vs category scaling, housing survey/physico-spatial attributes
Samenvatting
First, two theoretical problems on household evaluation in various housing situations are considered. It is argued that it is necessary to evaluate the total housing situation as an aggregate of separate feature evaluations rather than as a direct evaluation. Also discussed are the consequences of using magnitude-estimation versus category scaling. Second, an actual housing survey in South Holland & resulting explanation of several evaluations of physico-spatial attributes are described. Finally, the results of several possible composition models are compared. 6 Tables, 8 Figures. HA.
