A reply to commentaries by J. Dronkers, J. Tinbergen, & H. M. In't Veld-Langeveld (see SA 29:2/81L3881) on W. C. Ultee's article on social inequality (see SA 29:1/81L2252). Dronkers's criticism of the study's empirical background is refuted, as is his negative view of utilizing the theories of the Dutch Scientific Council for Governmental Policy (WRR) to measure social inequality. Tinbergen's commentary is seen as being generally supportive of the stratification theory in question. In't Veld-Langeveld's critique of the WRR's theories & policies regarding social inequality is analyzed & contradicted. E. Nipperus-Jezeer.
