Dutch sociology has focused on post-1964 changes in social attitudes & values. Key features of these studies include: the use of questionnaire data; a longitudinal framework; comparison of the attitudes of the survey group with a larger national sample; research publication dates of 1975 & on; lack of prognostic conclusions; the usage of secondary survey data; & emphasis on quantitative analysis. Important topics in these studies include: the spread of new ideas; cultural vs structural change; an explanation of the current social mood; difficulties with the scale measurement of R attitudes; & problems defining the average individual. 5 References.
