Over de voorspelbaarheid van de hoogte van het ziekteverzuim met behulp van werklooscheidscijfers: een analyse over de periode 1965-1982

Samenvatting

One noticeable trend in Dutch employee behavior is the recent decrease in sick time. To investigate whether the high unemployment rate & concerns over job security are factors in this trend, economic data from 1965 to 1982 are correlated with sick time data. The results show that, although unemployment increased almost continuously from 1965 (0.8%) to 1982 (11.6%), the marked decrease in sick time did not begin until 1979, when the rate stood at 4.2%.
