Analysis of data from the Dutch 1979 Labor Force Survey reveals gender differences in the effects of educational attainment on occupational attainment in the Netherlands: ie, Fs have smaller returns from education than do Ms. These differences persist when work-experience is held constant & when marital status & presence of children are specified. Within occupational groups, no substantial association is found between the % of Fs in an occupational group &: (1) occupational level of Ms; (2) differences in the occupational level of Ms & Fs; or (3) effect of educational attainment on occupational level. 4 Tables, 18 References.
