Samenvatting

Ministerial statements that unemployed Dutch youth do not exert themselves to find jobs gave rise to research into PO on that issue. The ministerial opinion was supported by only a minority of the Dutch population. The results lead to the conclusion that this opinion has to do less with unemployment than with a negative view of youth in general.
