Samenvatting
It is well-known in educational research that aggregate ability scores affect individual achievements. This finding is explained by means of an abstract model of the interaction system of the class. This model fares well in comparison to rival explanations in the literature. By applying the abstract model to specific circumstances, new hypotheses about the effects of homogeneous grouping & declining discipline are derived.
