Samenvatting
Drawing on panel data from the Dutch Bureau of Employment, the determinants of "black" (informal) labor supply of benefits-receiving unemployed workers are examined. Analysis of results using an ordered logit model suggests that unemployment benefits have no effect on black labor supply; the duration of unemployment has only a small negative effect. Black labor supply is mainly determined by the same factors that determine labor supply in the formal labor market. 4 Tables, 11 References. Modified AA
