Samenvatting

Two principles for the prediction of coalition formation in simple games are described, & a third principle is introduced. These three principles are applied to data regarding cabinet formations in five Western European countries occurring 1945-1988. Results show that center parties, as represented by game theoretic concepts of the center, play an important role in the formation of cabinets. 1 Table, 34 References. Modified HA
