A discussion of the university as an official hierarchy, as a professional organization, & as a cooperation model

There are 3 models of U org: (A) the U as an official hierarchy, which is the model proposed by Dutch Gov'al Committees, (B) the U as a professional org, proposed by reform minded members of the U staff, (C) the U as a cooperation, proposed by reform-minded students. Esp treated are the aspects of democracy & danger of manipulation by active & radical groups in the 3 models, based on the typology of org by P. Blau & J. Scott. Before introducing the cooperation model as the general model of org (which is desirable), carefully evaluated small-scale exp's will be valuable & indispensable to gain experience with this type of org.
