When compiling computerized databases from information obtained from interviews, questionnaires, & research Ss, the utmost care should be taken to maintain the confidentiality of the information. Names, addresses, & phone numbers should be deleted from aggregate files. The problem of preserving the anonymity of data in long-term studies involving the recontacting of Rs is examined.
