Abstract

Jan Vat is a collective name which, in this case, stands for: Mariette van Geijn-Brouwers, Ton van Haaften, Jos ten Hacken, Pred Landman, Ieke Moerdijk, Henk van Riemsdijk, Rik Smits. The present paper is the outcome of a seminar conducted at the University of Amsterdam Linguistics Department during the fall term of 1980.
